Dr. Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before completing her residency in Psychiatry. She was involved in medical training during her residency. She has published and presented at international conferences on topics like delirium screening, social media, and professionalism. She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL), the Psychiatry Department. Her main focus was building a thriving, highly collaborative CL service that provided psychiatric treatment to patients in the surgical and medical units, including the Palliative Care and oncology Units. She also received a Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for managing vulnerable patients in hospitals.
She is also the provincial practice director for Psychiatry in BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member of the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has a longstanding interest in musculoskeletal education and research. She instructs Neuromuscular Medicine and IamPsychiatry Musculoskeletal Medicine to the Family Medicine Residents. She is also involved in ongoing research projects in the musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medical, and performing arts-medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales prior to finishing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. While in training, she received the Psychotherapy Award and an Undergraduate Teaching Award to acknowledge her achievements in these areas. She has worked in many areas of Psychiatry and is particularly interested in Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who treats adults with BC Cancer. She has a deep interest in Psycho-oncology and particularly is a fan of working with older adults. She has been interested for a long time in geriatric psychiatry and has worked as a consultant at the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service (GPCLS) and ECT Service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is also a tutor and mentor for medical residents and students.
Dr Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she completed her medical school and residency in psychiatry. She has worked for the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Mental Health. She also has an active clinical practice in psychotherapy which includes psychodynamic and dialectical behavioural therapy. psychotherapy. She is fluent in Cantonese.
Dr. Karim trained at Guy’s King’s St Thomas’ and St George’s hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and has been practising in psychiatry for more than 20 years. She is interested in psychotherapy for children and adolescents.
Dr. Richford began her career as an RN, and then she studied medicine at Dalhousie. She earned her MD in the year 1996. She has since worked in a variety of areas of Psychiatry, particularly in Psycho-oncology and Addiction Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. She is currently a psychiatrist on staff at Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer – Vancouver, as also an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology at UBC. She is also the former president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.
Dr Margaret Wong
Dr Margaret Wong, a renowned expert in medicine, is dedicated to enhancing healthcare services.
